About Emily Gioielli

Dr. Emily Gioielli earned her Ph.D. in Comparative History from Central European University in 2015. In addition to her current position as Assistant Professor, Adjunct at the University of Cincinnati, she has held fellowships at Imre Kertész Kolleg Jena, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the American Jewish Archives, and from 2015–2017 was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of William & Mary. She is currently preparing her manuscript on gender and political violence during Hungary’s “long” World War I for publication.
